8 attornies getting fired or oil companies gouging millions of taxpayers? You vote on whats really important!

We have been swamped under with congress pointing fingers about 8 attornies getting fired (personally I doubt that any of them went hungry or couldn't find work as a result of the firings).... meanwhile the oil companies are paying less for crude, running refinaries at only 60% capacity, and charging an arm and a leg for a tank of gas.... Does it take a brain surgeon to figure out the real evaluation by congress, should deal with how the oil companies get away with something that affects each and every American. It is amazing that a handful of attornies can cry about something that happened last year while no one in Washington seems to be concerned about the gasoline prices which seem to rise nearly every day...... To be perfectly honest, I have never really liked attornies anyway, we should fire all of them.8 attornies getting fired or oil companies gouging millions of taxpayers? Democrats want the president to fire Gonzales. This, ironically, is the very thing the Dems are complaining about, that he fired US Attorneys (or that they were fired in his name). The Dems simply demonstrate the real truth of the matter: The president has full authority to fire any US Attorney, including the Attorney-General.

By the way, are Congressional Dems aware that the first thing the Clintons did on taking office was to fire all but one of the US Attorneys!8 attornies getting fired or oil companies gouging millions of taxpayers? You vote on whats really important!
Again this is our ';Do nothing Congress';. They spend their time trying to paint the opposite party of committing a horrendous deed instead of concentrating on something that concerns all of us. I too agree, this is a big to do about nothing. If you can't fire the people you hired, who in the hell can you fire? Do something about oil prices...this effects everyone who drives. Lets vote out all the B...ards.
Kill the lawyers!
Not being a car driver but, knowing how much the English get hit every few months with another hike on that luxury called a car,I sympathise with you but, for years we have been trying to convince our government to come up with an alternative to gas (petrol to us) but our pleas fall on deaf ears because, like the U.S.A G.B Government wants to sting the public for as much as it can, which they can`t do with electric just yet.
Oh brain surgeon got one for you to think about.

You want to tax the hell out of oil companies right.

Well what do you think they are going to do with that tax.

Thats right pass it on to us.

So you are just pushing for even higher gas prices.

Now lets play a little game.

Oil companies make about 8 cents on gallon of gas while takes is about 60 cents a gallon so who is sticking it to us.

Look at the price of gas take away the 60 cent tax and see if you can find anything and I do mean anything that has keep its price down like gas.

You don't like gas prices do drive the big SUVs.

Now we find out the boogie man of big oil questions global warming and it is dismiss because they are making a profit from it.

Meanwhile the grand Profit (that is not a spelling error) of global warming Al Gore is making money off ';carbon credits'; and when face Congress won't even sign on to the pelege he wants everyone else to sign on to.

One more thing when you are fuming at the price of gas.

You don't want refineries to be built.

You don't want them to drill for oil anywhere around here.

Cut supply and increase demand what does that do for prices.

No PhD required for that answer.
nationalize the oil companies, where is hugo chavez when we need him.
