If nobody admits trusting the oil companies, why do they want to give them tax breaks and more oil permits (added to the 35,000 unused permits they already have?Do you trust the oil companies?
I trust them to do what they think is going to boost their bottom line. Take Exxon, for example: they are drilling like crazy in Angola where the extraction costs are about 4 bucks a barrel under their production sharing agreements, but they aren't drilling 624,987 acres of public lands here in the USA they have leased from the Federal Government (at 3 dollars per acre per year--sweet deal) that also have oil reserves.
No, I don't trust them. I don't trust companies that have a plethora of lobbyist that their disposal. They turned the US into a plutocracy. A nation ruled by the wealthy.
Yes, but it doesn't matter, oil companies don't control the price of oil, if they could they would have done so when the price was $14. a barrel. They are part of the most scrutinized industry in America.
No more or no less than I trust the beverage industry or the pharmaceutical industry which are more profitable than the oil industry.
Considering they have more on the line than polticians.

I trust them to be Oil Company's.. knowing the enemy is understanding them.. I think It's pretty clear what drives them, so then trusting them to be them is simple..
