I was told that the Bush family owns plenty of oil companies,is it true?President Bush is wealthy. Does he have Oil Companies of his own?

No, just stock.
He, along with many others in government, own some stock in oil companies. I do too in my 401K. Exxon. A tiny amount but some. And if you own any mutual or index fund, you probably own some too. In a sense, you could say he owns part of the oil company, like the rest of us, because that's what buying the stock is all about. Investing in a company you think will do well and not lose your money. Now there are some who want you to be kept ignorant of this fact by screaming that Bush will do anything to help these rich corporations profit. Let's just say it doesn't help any of us to have Exxon suffer financially. If they do then maybe British owned BP or Dutch owned Shell will take up the slack hurting all of us here in the U.S. even worse. I'm not for profiteering but I also don't believe we should take down all the ';evil'; corporations.

The Bush Family is heavily vested in numerous ways in the OIL business, which certainly brings up the question: Will OIL companies get preferential treatment from members of the Bush family who hold political office, or are polticians immune from treating their friends better than others as most people do.

No he only made a little over 700K last year, and over 400K of that was the Presidency. The remainder is just investments. I can't answer what the Bush family owns.
