Whats the actual cost to oil companies to get a barrel of oil out of the ground & to the local gas station?

They control almost NONE of the getting it out of the ground anymore because USA is virtually out of crude oil. That may change if they drill ANWR or off shore as was originally planned (although President Obama is against it.) Europe, Mexico, Venezuela, Canada, and the Middle East (which is controlled by OPEC) control oil production as an extension of the government.

They do not release exact prices for refining but some previous execs ';estimate'; it is around 15-20 considering some of the new ethanol requirements to refine it.

Then, shipping to the gas station can be anything (How far away from a refinery are you? Only you can answer that part.)
