Can someone tell me how many acres in the lower 48 and Alaska are leased to the oil companies that they...

aren't using and whether or not there's any oil there? I've heard that there's plenty and I've heard that there's none. Can someone tell me how many acres in the lower 48 and Alaska are leased to the oil companies that they...
68 million, and they already have the environmental stuff worked out, so the ban would NOT have to be lifted in order for them to pump the stuff out - the poster above is wrong. There are obvious reasons why they would be sitting on this oil, and still be asking for more land to drill on. To say that they aren't doing it because they can't make money doing it, is to be naive, and be gullible enough to believe the propaganda they have perpetuated. Can someone tell me how many acres in the lower 48 and Alaska are leased to the oil companies that they...
It's 68 million acres. Some on land some off shore. Problem is, They can't use any of the land off-shore unless congress lifts the band on drilling off shore. Most of the other in land acres they are being tird up by lawsuits from the environmentalist. Ask yourself this if you had the chance to make even more money do you not think Oil Companies wouldn't want to do the same?
heres supposedly a state by state list of leases and production. Im sure the amount of oil on any of it is not available. But the fact is if a company has access to something that can make them money they would use it.

the democrats...not understanding capitalism...want companies to

drill in locations whether there is oil there or not!

If there is oil in all these leased areas...i guess our problems are over

forever!!!
THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT 68 MILLION ACRES. I WONDER IF ANY OF THAT IS ALREADY TAPPED OUT %26amp; NEW SOURCES ARE NEEDED.
