It's mainly the Government who are taking the piss, petrol would be around 34p a litre (inc profit for the oil comps) if it wasnt for the following:


1) Tax


2) VAT





Do you know any products that are subject to tax not just once but TWICE!And before anyone says ';I'll vote Conservative, Liberal blah blah';, they sure as hell aren't going to reduce tax on petrol cause they know what mugs we are!Funny how the tax on petrol skyrockets as the Smoking ban comes in eh??If we buy oil in $$$$$$ and the pound is worth around 2 $ are oil companies and this f..kin Government?
Jadore if the oil is bought in $ and sold in 拢 in UK. the oil at the pumps should be low when the dollar is not so strong
